One suggestion, instead of the red in the engine bay, chrome it out. Too much red going on, need a contrast of colours
I was going to do that but the more I thought about it, everybody does that and I wanted to make mine a little different. I think I will go that route next season.

Thanks alot man I have been working soo hard to get it finished!!! And yes that is me on the cover.
Yah, still have ur bumpers on and thats the one in the pic. I'm lovin em, the cut out in the middle section was done really cleanly and I like the look a lot better. Now I just need to get my car painted because my red is faded compared to your old bumpers

But yah congrats on the cover, I love your FC.

Or do like red and black. Do your engine red/black and then have everything else in the bay red and black, I think that'd look clean as hell.

I DO really like the red and black, it makes it look a little tougher this way. Yeah the paint on my car was in really good condition. Now its been repainter with factory mazda "blaze red" paint with 5 coats of clear

can you explain exactly the type of fitment issues you experienced with the CS fenders. I think a lot of people were really excited when they started selling them, but all I've heard (or seen) until your car was slightly negative. Are they worth it?

hmm the GP Sports kit looks awesome on a turbo car, since it actually does something, those huge inlets in the front would look nasty on an n/a, i wanted the kit till i noticed that, now i just want the sides and rear, and ill keep my S5 front with an odula lip. great looking car though. i agree, chrome is WAY overused, and in my opinion looks cheap and flashy.

The mold is just a piece of crap! All I can say is that with a good body guy and some extra time to massage the FG to fit right and its all worth it!!
I guess the one thing that we had problems with was that I didnt want front side markers and both the GP front and the CS fenders both had the spot for the markers. the other part is getting everything to fit right and to make sure the CS fenders being made out of FG can suport the weight of the GP front, so this took some extra time and suports to hold it all in place at high speeds.

I had a local speed shop here in Chicago contact some friends in Japan and had them order it for me. It took 6 months to get it, but it was well worth the wait! The old rims are already sold, but I do have a set of stock BBS mesh style rims that im going to paint black and through a set of slicks on them so this way the still look some what like the Enkei rims I have now!

How was the GP Sport fitment? Did it still require some "massaging" of the fiberglass to fit well? Or was the quality as expected and near bolt-on perfect? One more thing, how thick is it along the lower section?

Thanks, just curious because I'm wondering how much work is required for a bodyshop to get it to fit right and if it can handle abuse with a lowered FC in San Francisco.

Both FTPs are there. I think you meant the fresh air headlight scoop.

The fit ment was really really nice! it was very minor thinhs here and there, nothing a body shop and handle in a snap. as for the bottom edge its nice and thick. those guys ad GP know what they where doing.

The reason the FTP lense was out in some of the pics is because I had just bought a brand new set from the mazda dealer and the ****** thing fogged up on me the first time i washed the car. so i had it out drying.

Very very nice. I know of a company that makes a good fitting MSport replica fender. Feel free to contact me for the referral. We are running these fenders as well as the rears on our FC's. Now time for some Endless brakes. hehe. Props on your nice car. Looks like there will be a lot more GP sports aero around now.
