To finally clear up the vaccum line confusion

Ok, I've read many different things on removing the emissions controls and the assorted lines. However, people seem to post contradicting procedures. I think we should sum up everything we know so that we have a reference from now on. I'm just trying to follow the vaccum diagram....so please correct me at any time

*note 88 t2*
First we'll start with the ACV...I'm just now attempting this mod. There are 3 vac lines that run to it (with a 4th that is capped off) and one that runs off it to the boost sensor. When removing the acv those 3 lines can be capped off and the boost sensor line can be moved to the nipple off the side of the intake manifold (bov is connected to this). You'll need the acv block off and the split air pipe block off and some rtv

The EGR valve can also be removed. There is just one vaccum line that runs to that and it can be blocked off also. There is a block off plate available for that too.

You can remove the Switching actuator (twin scroll stuff) if you have an earlier car like me. I'm going to be mounting an external to my mani and need all the space I can get. Once this is removed that vaccum line can be capped also.

Now with all those things removed you pretty much have no use for any of those solinoids...except the pressure regulator valve. If you do remove all the solinoids you can just run a line to the regulator from any open vaccum ports. This is were I start to get confused when looking at the diagram. It appears as if the 3 lines running off the forward most ports near the TB..2 go towards the PCV operation and 1 goes to the soinoid rack...can anyone conferm this. If this is the case, you can run new vac lines from the 2 ports(near the TB) that go to the PCV operation. This is so you can bypass the hard metal vac lines and prepare to remove the rack. Now you have one open port and this can be run to the fuel pressure regulator so that the solinoid for the fpr can be removed also.

The last question comes from the pulsation damper...it looks as if there is a vac line or two running to it...what can be done with this????

After all this is done...the metal rack and all solinoids can be removed...horray.

*********again...please note any false statments and make the corrections...this post should be used as a guide for anyone attempting these mods. Thanks************

Fuel supply and return lines are part of the rack on my TII. Are you going to run fuel lines from firewall to fuel rails?

1) The real PD doesn't have a vacuum line on it.&nbsp What you're looking at is the fuel pressure regulator.
2) Hook up the vacuum line from the FPR to any fitting AFTER the throttle plates.&nbsp The FPR needs to see VACUUM under decel and low-load conditions, and boost under acceleration and WOT.

I'll probably end up running new lines for the fuel. I'll try and keep notes and take pictures whenever I can. It'll take a while to get a full blown procedure up seeing as how I'm in school and come back every so often to work on the car.

Is there anyway to disable the PCV (purge control valve) or will that just cause problems. I was hoping just to be able to attach a hose to the oil neck and run it down to the road...any *blow by* will just get ditched to the street.
