Fidanza short throw shifter?

Fidanza seems to be well respected in the flywheel business, but I was wondering if anybody had any experience or knowledge about their short throw shifters? I can get the Miata version for $50 on eBay, and looks like a quality piece.

Just looking for input!

... i'd just get a mazdatrix shifter and call it a day... my friend and i tried a couple of miata shifter... from 20 - 80 dollar range... yeah... mazdatrix's shifter eats them all day long. you get new bushings and fitment is perfect. everything lays in perfectly and feels smooth as hell.

but that is just me.

^ On the Miata shifters. Mine is okay, but I'm still not too impressed. But I picked it up for free, so I can't complain, lol. I'll be going Mazdatrix next.

i got one of those ebay short shifters. Waste of money IMO. It had a groove bushing and a bushing that went in the box of the shifter. Those bushing busted in about 2 months.

Dont waste the money go for the mazdatrix one or the one they sell on rx7.com. They are solid shifters wokr great.

It's a Miata shifter. They don't seem to make one for the FC, only the FD.
I guess I'll hold off on the shifter. Stock one works fine, I just wish the throw was a little shorter.

save for the mazdatrix, and dont look back. i sure as hell was skeptical atfirst... i mean 192 for a shifter?!??!... then i looked at it this way... it comes with the small boot, all new bushings... that can easily run you an extra 20-50 or whatever it is...plus i cant find a darn thing wrong with it right now... lubricated the whole bottom end with gear oil.. from the big ball down... and the thing feels very smooth.. i was going to tack some grease on it... but what the hey... maybe this weekend. lol

I see some people on here talk about every tranny they've seen w/ a short-throw on it has ended up breaking. Any truth to this? Or is it just the cheap/Miata shifters that cause this? How long have you guys been using the Mazdatrix shifter?

i went and looked at an RX7 gxl for sale last week that had the mazdatrix short throw on it and the guy said that he'd been running it on there for the past 3 1/2 years so my guess is that they're pretty durable. the shifting felt incredibly smooth and quick when i drove it. too bad he sold it a day after i had the cash :'[
