Few Rx-7 Problems

Hey guys,

i just bought my rx7 turbo series 5 yesterday,
and when i got it the guy said there are a few problems,

he said the clutch master cylinder is stuffed, theres leaks around it, and tape,
but when you push the clutch theres no tension what so ever,

also most of the belts are off and can someone help me identify them, except the timing belt.

also he said the car just got mild ported and had a rebuild couple thousand km ago, but how would i know, and what was is there to tell the engine is stuffed ?

Goodonya for getting a 7! lol. Anyway if the clutch master leaks just get a new one and while your at it a slave cylinder because you might as well change them both, maybe the line too if it's old. It's a simple swap with two nuts on the interior foot panel above the clutch pedal. Then you just need a friend to help bleed it. There is no timing belt on a rotary, there is a timing chain, but that is internal to the engine and I have never seen it have problems. It's almost impossible to tell if the engine has been ported unless you tear it down. You should also just get all new belts that way you know their integrity, any parts store should be able to tell you which ones to get.
