A few questions
Alright so here's my "questions" more like i need help figuring out what the problem is... anyway, when ever I put my foot on the brake my idel drops from 750 to around 550 or so. i was wondering if anyone has had the same thing happen to them and if i should worry about it. another thing is the stick in my car is moving left to right. not too much but it's moving enough that i can notice it moving left to right. i was wondering if it is the transmission or the gearbox? and also wondering if that is bad. any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks for your time.
Alternator is starting to fail, if your foot on the brakes drops RPM. Your voltage is probably dropping as well.
This is easily checked by unplugging the brake switch on the brake pedal.
With the brake switch unplugged, there should not be the drop.
Of course if the voltmeter should also be dropping if this is the case. Remember the voltage should be at 14.4 volts, with 13.5 volts being the lowest it every drops.

yeah my volts are at 13.5 regularly and wen i press on the brake it goes to 12 or a little below 12v. so i guess it's time to get a new alternator. would my interior lights/headlights dimming and getting bright again be due to the same problem? or could it be the belt is loose?
k thanks for the help, also. i have another question... everytime im pushing the car (which is very rarely due to this problem) near and after 5k my shifter shakes violently and my car feels like its going to fall apart. anyone have a similar problem or can help with figuring out what it is.
