i just bought a 88 GTU with a half bridge with 10,000 miles on it and 5000 mile trans. the guy installed a fuel cut off switch. the weird thing is to start the car you crank it with the switch on then turn it off then, then when you hear it almost totaly start up you flip the switch back on. he said all you need is upgraded injectors and the problem will go away. its not to much of a problem but does anyone have an idea on how to fix it? besides it being the injectors. also the idle is a little bouncy from 500 to 1000. whenever i start her up the idle gets to where she almost dies. sometimes she does sometimes she doesnt. think it could just be the BAC or tps that needs adjusting?
do you know a good and cheap place to have injectors cleaned? i'll check the valve when i get home as im out of state right now. i knew the idle would be shaky but not to where it would stall after start up. also oil injectors can be cleaned right? and where could that be done?

To me it sounds like you are deflooding the engine(cranking w/ kill switch) the you start it up.

thats what he told me. he said flip it on then crank her, then flip off to let the fuel out (run it through the engine) then back on. so it made me think why should i even flip it off in the first place. i havent tried it yet. he said they werent leaking but i'll have to check...
