A few problems with my rebuild; idle, misfire, missing connector for water tempsensor
I finally got my rx7 running again, the engine was rebuilt 7 years ago/30k miles, streetported, n/a.
The cold start system doesn't seem to be working and the idle jumps between 800 and 1000rpms whenever the car is first started.
After driving it for a while the idle stays pretty steady between 750-800.
However, when I turn the air conditioning on the idle jumps up to about 1,600rpms.
The idle stays there and is steady; is that normal?
My car seems to have a slight misfire, and hesitates at around 3,000rpm or so.
I think that might be from the timing being a little bit off?
Or could it be TPS related?
Here is a video that you can sort of hear it in (the car has open headers until tmrw because I've got to buy some nuts to hold the header/exhaust together.)

The last problem is a pretty big one because I don't have the money for an aftermarket gauge right now.
I can't find the connector for the water temperature sensor (the one that is on the block).
I've searched the forum for answers and have looked all over the engine bay for the wire.
Does anybody have a picture of the connector that the sensor connected into so I can just re-wire it so the gauge will work again?
It will just be a temp. fix until I can buy a quality aftermarket one.
Oh, another problem I forgot to mention....
I pulled out yesterday and a car ran a stop light, I had to give it gas to not be hit.
It only revved to maybe 5,500rpm-6,000rpm at the most.
It started smoking a little bit but went away shortly afterwards.
No smoke on start-up or any other time since I've been driving it.
I was thinking it might be from where I'm pre-mixing(maybe too much 1oz for 1 gal?)
The first thing I thought (it was white smoke) was I bought another rotary with blown coolant seals.
The smoke smelled just like gas and a little 2 cycle oil; not sweet at all.
This morning I cranked it and checked for bubbles in the radiator and I didn't get any at all.
Do you guys think its just too much 2cycle or the o-rings are bad?
