a few new-to-rx7s questions
just got an 87 non-turbo for $500 bucks. its been sitting around for quite some time. i plan on getting it running asap, but have a few questions:
1. i heard there was a secret to getting the rotaries to start after sitting for a while... oil in combustion chamber???
2. brake and gas pedal feel good but clutch pedal literally has no movement. i'd say 90% from top position to floor movement the pedal is limp and than its as hard as a rock the inch or so it takes to get to the floor... are there any secrets to this as well?? what should be looking for??
i'll probably have some more questions later, but any advice i could get at this point would be greatly appreciated. thank you all for your replies!!

I actually have the EXACT same situation. Got an 87 RX7 that i am just waiting for the owner to get time for me to pick it up, it is also $500. has been sitting for a year or so but it had a Fresh rebuild just before sitting.
Read that link above, it has good info. I will be doing all of that and changing ALL of the fluids in the car, and all other tune up parts wether i need to or not. just a habit i have when i get a new car.
From the reading i have done it looks like the seals if treated righ can last quite a while without running. I would just make sure NOT to try to start it until you have done all the tips on that link above. that could ruin the seals without the proper oil coating.
After doing that it is a desent chance it will work fine. I just wish i could pick up my car, the owner just can't see to get time to come over and sell it to me lol.
