Few days left before suspensions of plates. (Please help)

I have just installed a stock air pump to my 89 TII. ( Borrowed from my 10th AE.
The air inlet tube on my cat is glowing. Why?
Should i be worried?
Can i still take the car to the emmisions test?
The car also has a FMI, a Apexi AFC controller,
3" downpipe, cat, and RB exaust
Please help i have till the end of Nov. I got a Pink Notice

Thanks
Rick

if your air pump isnt working, dont count on passing emissions. depending on how long its been off, your cats may have burned out. and if you dont even have any cats, dont even bother. no chance of passing without both systems working.

Thanks Tyblat

The pump is working.
I check it before attaching it to the cats tube.
The car has bin running with a cat and no pump for three months.
Does the cat go bad if there's no air being pump to it?

Yep. On a rotary engine it is pretty manditory to have a air pump if you are running cats. More so if you have a SAFC or some other fuel band aid and do not have it dyno tuned.

would you rather have 64 bogus replies???

If people don't know they better not be answering.

Of course if you had a real thread title... one that described the actuall problem or question, you may have gotten an answer sooner.

I don't know if this will help, especially since you said "inlet tube". Cats will glow on any car if the A/F is off (rich).

if its been off for three months, My best bet says they are fried. you might want to get some new cats that are specifically meant for second gen rx7's. Regular cats burn out on a rotary engine regardless because they aren't built to handle the extreme heat of the engine's exhaust gasses.
