Fell for dealer scam...
I finally decided to take my 90 vert to the shop. here is the short story. it wouldnt start. i took it in. Now i have a coolant leeak(i think) and an afm sensor error i didnt get when i took it in. The guy told me the reason the car wouldnt start is because the "Green wire at the [CAS] is connected to red wire [at CAS] causing back feed." i had them fax me a wire diagram. sure enough, thats the way it is supposed to be. the refused to refund my money. A class action suit is in progress.....

rule #4: Don't go to the dealership. Ever. Except for parts. Or if they have someone there that owns 3 rx-7s (and now 1 rx-8) and fixed your annoying hesitation issue over the phone in 10 seconds, when numerous posts on the forum and many calls to many places couldn't solve it.

dealerships can actually work on rx-7's?? dammn...
Here is what a dealership is going to do..
1st.. diagnose the problem.
2nd.. diagnose another problem
3rd.. consult the FSM (readily available to whomever thanks to scott89TII i believe)
4th.. follow the FSM steps for remedy
5th.. when that doesn't fix it.. they'll hit it with a hammer
6th.. charge you for labor and parts you didn't need
simply put.. the FSM is what they are going to consult if they don't work on rx-7's and happen to know them inside and out.. which is open source knowledge..
