Feedback System Fault- Code 17

My check engine light is on and the computer spit out this code. A local shop wants $400 just to diagnose the problem! Anyone give me an idea as to what this means so i can try fixing it myself.

Feedback system for O2 sensor. Chances are the wiring is fractured within the harness. Follow O2 wire back. You can use an ohm meter to see if broken. If it is broken, and your attempting to fix it yourself, make certain the braided shielded cable does not come in contact with the signal wire. It will take it to ground and the ecu will receive zero input. If it is broken, some will just run the wire from the O2 sensor straight though the firewall and into the ecu.

Awesome, thankx for the advice. I recently had a new 02 sensor installed and wired up and they may have screwed it up somehow, so i'll take a look at it.
