which is this adaptor based on.... S4 or S5 lower turbo intake? s4 and s5 are different and wouldn't want to have to port to match to the wrong fc lower intake...cheers

i dont know when ill put it to use, but i dont wanna miss out on the chance to get one. Still eagerly awaiting, its about the only reason i try to hop on the forums every other day.

Put me on the pending list,I'll take one if someone backs out

AaronJ 05-20-16 04:06 PM

So just a small update! The adapters are all completed but we are running into some small issues with the adapter bolts and fine-tuning those issues right now. Shouldn't be much longer I'll keep you guys updated though!

Hybrid G 05-21-16 08:26 PM

Sounds good.... Thanks for the updates

Hybrid G 06-05-16 10:03 PM

Any updates?

ACR_RX-7 06-28-16 07:39 PM

Any updates on this? It's been over a month since the last update.

TonyD89 06-28-16 10:01 PM

It looked good in Solidworks.

jreynish 06-29-16 01:36 PM

I thought he had cut a bunch of them already, was just working on the fasteners.

UPDATE 2

According to this picture, yes. I'm just hoping for an update. Unless the OP sold all of them locally, or through other channels.

AaronJ 07-01-16 06:25 PM

Sorry for the delay guys. The machine shop was missing a tool to finish the adapter bolts so that is the hold up. They also had some bigger orders pop up in-between as well. I think we are almost there though!

ACR_RX-7 07-01-16 09:05 PM

Ok, awesome! We were just wondering is all.

TonyD89 07-01-16 11:11 PM

So the port holes are just made big enough to encompass the deviation in runner spacing and not angled like the Rising RPM piece?

These are based on the rising rpm unit.....so I assume it's exactly the same.

ACR_RX-7 07-04-16 12:11 AM

That was the impression I got. You would use a T2 intake gasket below, and an FD gasket on top. It all should line up as factory.

TonyD89 07-04-16 08:06 AM

I remember when Rising RPM was selling his stuff on this site and I thought his adapter had angled holes so there are no steps. Apparently I was mistaken.

Hybrid G 07-04-16 09:17 AM

It has to be angled I think the enlarged holes are for the bolts which or offset to match the LIM and UIM.

The everything port matched so no overlap

TonyD89 07-04-16 10:14 AM

Look close at the picture ACR reposted, I don't think they are...

TonyD89 07-04-16 10:52 AM

1 Attachment(s)
Look at the reflections from the lighting, they are all parallel. That would not be the case if the holes were angled. Also, they are machined round all the way through from one side. One would need a five axis machine to do that. If he was 3D machining the part from both sides, the first side would not be round.

I honestly didn't look that closely. When the OP gets a final done, I would like to see pictures of it mounted to confirm how it fits.

Hybrid G 07-05-16 10:38 AM

^^^^^ what he said

It seems like you have insight as to what might be going on and i appreciate your input but your assessment is incorrect. The ports are tapered and angled and if you look closer you will see how that is possible.

Sounds great Aaron thanks for the update
