FD water pump housing on FC

Looked, but couldn't find too much info on people doing this. Is it possible assuming I swap all the pulleys and such? Any key things I need to look out for? Any benefit over FC?

so the benefits, are that its a ton of work, and its a little lighter.

you need the WP housing to block gasket, N386-15-162
the FD water pump housing studs, which are longer; N3A1-10-C08, which aren't sold separately anymore
the Bolt that goes to the bottom of the alternator bracket is longer, N3A1-18-397
Lower Radiator hose, try a Dayco 71526
the FD upper hose is probably the best place to start, N3A1-15-186B

and then you need an electric fan

you probably want to run the FD alternator, which will line up with the FD water pump and main pullies.
the Coolant temp and fan switches (if equipped) will go right into the FD housing.

you're on your own for a belt, 5PK-780 should be close
and the turbo water hoses will need to be custom, same diameter though

obviously its been done, but mostly its to get the rest of the REW too

Thank you for the info.

I already have an E fan and FD alternator. I was planning on doing a v mount setup, and was thinking the FD housing would fit better/allow me to use the FD pulleys with the serpentine belt.

Also, decided against an electric water pump, as I've heard the controllers fail constantly. If I'm sticking with a belt-driven pump, the only higher flow ones out there are for FD.

What about the other accessories like power steering and A/C? Would this only work if you have a manual steering rack and no A/C? To keep those would you need to use an FD accessory bracket PS pump, and A/C compressor?

oh yeah i should mention that. the FC PS pulley fits with the FD main pulley, but not both. then the FC bracket slightly misaligns the belt, so if you want to keep the AC, you kind of need to run the FC bracket, pulley and belt
