Nah actually it would take more effort given my situation but anyway if anyone has done it and actually knows please post up. Common sense says they will not work, for anyone whos done it I was curious what route they took.
I've done some reading on the subject and there's several people who've documented their efforts to get the FD seats in and I've heard that it does put you higher up. You'll need to make some sort of adapter to go between the FC rails and the FD seat. Just about any non shell type racing seat will put you up higher than a sagging old original FC seat though, especially if it's on seat rails.

shazam!! it just takes imagination and custome brackts of course. i used stock FC backes but used brackets to mount them to the car. they do sit a little higher but im no monster so i fit in the car nice. also for the passenger side. you need to have bent backets of some sort. cuz the passenger will tilt the side

I know this thread is older than dirt but my heart sank when I heard they make you sit higher! I am a behemoth that just can't stop loving their FC so my seats are already as back as far as they can go. I really wanted to put in FD seats to replace my 25yo seats but alas being 6'6 makes this a pipe dream.
You can make brackets easily out of 1/8" bar steel and bolt them to the FC sliders, but they do sit higher that the FC seats. They are much more comfortable, but higher.
I know from experience, I put some in my old car back in 05'.
If I'd do it again, the best way would be to cut the seat mounts out of the car and bolt them to the floor. If you wanted to be able to slide them, you'd have to cut out the seat mounts, and modify a slider to bolt to the floor.
Alot of fixed back racing seats with side brackets can be "adjusted" to bolt to the stock FC sliders, and they sit similar to stock height. I got my Sparco Corsa seat to bolt the the stock slider by elongating the slider mounting holes.

FD seats offer very little in the way of support or comfort (or style for that matter) and are inferior to good conditoin T2 seats in those regards. The only redeeming factors are that they should be very cheap and you can accept a harness....errr...well since they offer 0 lateral support, if you need a harness, you would probably need better seats any way.
Hope they were at least cheap.
