FD rotor with my T2

I forgot if it can go in the front or in the back of my Turbo II. Anyone else know?

The FD rotors are basically the same as Kouki 1989-1991 Turbo II rotors.&nbsp So they will fit in a Kouki turbo engine.&nbsp They will not fit in a Zenki engine without a lot of fuss.

I am using two 91 rotors, one 91 rotor housing and one 93 rotor housing. I am also using the 91 front cover and turbo but using (I think) the 88 rear and front housings. My question was do I use the 93 rotor housing in the front or in the back.

Do you have the front counterweight and flywheel or rear counterweight for the rotors?

Umm ...I believe I have the front counter weight and I have the 91 flywheel. As for a rear counter weight, I don't remember seeing it...what does it look like, how big?

The rear counterweight is only for an automatic transmission right? Regardless, I just want to know if the FD rotor housing has to go up front or in the rear, or does it even matter, they look identical to me.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion - you either need the right stock flywheel or the rear counterweight (and lightened flywheel).

As long as you match the rotor with the countreweight/flywheel, everything should be cool.

Hmmm..I thought you were asking about the rotor, but you said rotor housing?

I wrote the original question a couple of minutes after I got up this morning so that's why it didn't make much sense. I wanted to know if a 93 rotor housing should go in the front or rear. To clear things up, I have 2 complete blown engines, one 88 and one 91. I am trying to use whatever parts I can from both. I know pretty much which ones I can and can't mix. I had a 9.5 lb aluminum flywheel with counterweight on the 88 but can't use it with the new engine I am building becuase of the 91 rotors, unless I get the appropriate counterweight. So I will use the stock 91 flywheel instead. Anyway, the rotor housing question is really the only one I need answered. Thanks.

It doesn't matter.&nbsp If you're worried about emissions, the rear rotor has some kinda weird hole in it for EGR, I think, but somehow I doubt you'd care.

OK, I basically slapped most of the motor together today and while I was looking at it I noticed that the 93 rotor housing that I put up front has no water passage hole which should be located right above the exhaust port. The 91 rotor housing has this hole. Is this going to be a problem?
