FD rad into Fc will it work? why not?

as title states will it work? I can get an aluminum Rad for an Fd at a much cheaper price than one for an Fc

And i could even use the stock Fd electric fans

I've seen one person do it, but they cut the frame and mounted it like it sits in a FD. if you look through some FD engine bay pics, a lot of guys running fmics have their radiator mounted vertically.

If you are going to do the fabrication to fit an FD radiator, you might as well just switch to a universal one like an AFCO, it will be better quality than the FD replacement and easier to fit. You can get the same AFCO double pass I use for ~$220, and it keeps a 600whp 20B cool, and was relatively easy to fit.

why would you go to such lengths to lessen the integrity of the car's frame to fit a radiator that isn't meant for the car? there is cheaper alternatives out there, including having custom radiators made for less than the cost of a koyo.

you have to run a 220hp 13bt pretty hard to get it to even warm up!

The koyo's can be picked up for around $300, sometimes less. You should browse around more. The fluidynes tend to be around the $400+ mark.

you know WHY the FD one is cheaper?

the FD radiator is HALF the size of the FC one. FD radiator is very short. about $220 shorter

There is a reason after all that one of the first reliability mods is to ditch the thing.

I figured it was cheaper because of the fact it was made by mishimoto and not Koyo lol
