Hey, thanks alot for the sites, I have tried to use the search before for other stuff and i never got anything, so i just decided to skip it, but the info is kickass, i've had a 90 rx-7 GXL for about 4 months now, and im always wondering about the things you can do with 7's, and i plan on getting another FC someday and making it into a little race car, I would use the one I have now, but i cant risk blowing the motor or something else on it messing up, its my sole car,a nd i need a way around. But Thanx again, ill probabley end up putting it to good use eventually.

if this is your only car then I suggest you stay NA for now.....whenever you think you're ready for more power your best bet will be installing a 13BT of the same series....s4NA with S4 turbo motor and S5 with S5.....this is so you can just plug and play and turn it on after the install (assuming you don't **** up.)

plug and play? It is suggested you use the 13bt tranny right? I just popped a coolant seal and insted of throwing another 13b in my 87 i was thinking, since its not running anyway, of doing the 13bt swap. I would need the motor, tranny and ecu correct? thanks.

I don't understand why people are crazy about the 13BRE.........granted it has a few minor benefits but it's basically slightly better than the 13BT but not as good as the 13B-REW and the HP on a stock 13B-RE is slightly higher than a 13BT.

Basically, as far as I can tell, the main difference between the RE and REW, at least as far as fitment is concerned, is that the RE motor mounts match up closely enough to use a cheap adapter, while the REW requires much more custom work. Here is a link on how to do an RE swap and what to expect in doing it. http://fc3spro.com/TECH/SWAP/COSMO/13b-re.html
