fd gear box to fc

hey guys how hard is it or what needs to be done to make a fd gear box fit a fc s4?
what other boxes fit a fc engine that are strong or stronger than the fc box?

TurboII Transmissions are actually stronger than FD transmissions.
Grab one of those instead

[The FD mounts are also far different, you'd have to custom make parts to mount it..]

I don't know about the T2 tranny being stronger than the FD, but the FD tranny is set up for a pull type clutch and has very different mounts.

There's absolutely no reason to use an FD trans instead of an FC trans in an FC. Just install a T2 trans.

ya the turbo 2 trans would fit easier and are easier to find. and im pretty sure their is no diferance in strenth....
Another idea is a miata trans, im sure its weaker, but it dose have shorter gear ratios, Just thought id put that up here too.....

ive broken 2 trannys in my fd they suck
my fc tranny is bullet proof

you'd have to get a new speedo and the clutch kits are like a bazzillion dollars more than a T2.
