FD fuel pump install ?'s
what all is involved for installation? what do I have to modify/etc.
do I need to rewire it, or is the stock wiring sufficient to power it?
Picking it up tonight... probably put it in tomorrow.
Anything else I should do while I have the car apart?

Just make sure you use a new sock, other than that, it's pretty straight forward, just remove the old one, put the new one in, and away you go. If your stock wiring is crap, then obviously rewiring is a good idea, but if it's fine, then don't worry about it.
The FD "sock" is too large and hits the float assembly not allowing it to drop when fuel supply low. I installed the FC, in tank filter, right onto the FD pump. Works like a charm.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The FC 'sock' is more of a oval rectangle, whereas the walbro/fd/etc had that actual flat sock looking thing, but I guess it's just stuck with me ever since then. Oh well.
