FD flywheel on 89TII??

FD flywheel on 89TII??

Will this work or not? and work correctly at that?

Oh, it'll bolt to the motor...question is, can you get the clutch assembly to work with the TII tranny. I'm pretty sure it wouldnt work but someone else needs to chime in here.

It's a bolt in option.
FD flywheel is 18lbs where as S5 TII flywheel is 24lbs.
You can even use the clutch disc from a FD. However, you must use a TII pressure plate. FD uses a pull type pressure plate while the TII is a push type.

haha, i have a FD flywheel on my 1989 S5 turbo, works perfectly....

thanks guys for the info. With the flywheel dropped in, my restoration of my friend's 89TII will be complete except for the repainting of the outside. Since I bought it from him, I've upgraded the shocks/springs, new turbo, ARC SMIC, and other little odds and ends. I'm curious as to the output since his last dyno was 230 to the wheels (it does have a chipped ecu).
