that black one is sweeeeeeeet love the rims if you ever look in option2 or RX-7 magazine from japan there are used car dealers that sell ONLY used and modified RX-7's. for FC's the conversion is real cheap to U.S. $$

What's required to make Japanese FC's US legal?

Any bumper/reinforcements?
I know it needs a EGR valve to a US manifold.
That it?

It would be cool having a right hand drive FC.

Like 99.99999% of those auctions say "NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING" so most of us over here are screwed (unless you know someone over there).

If you can get a part shipped, it will probably be atleast $100+ depending on the part and shipping method used.

Those FC's are tempting and cheap but no sale to US buyers. If you really want one, changing to US specs (emission) is a pain in the *** for one and the other is $3000+ for shipping to the west coast. How do I know?
My wife wanted to buy her cousins R34 and ship it to Hawaii. Insane.

All RX7's in Japan are turbo. Yes, convertibles too. Only N/A are imported to the US. Pop a hood and show it to a Japan FC enthusiast and he wouldn't know if it was a 13B.
Most FC's have no sunroofs either. Just pure stripped down no nonsense bad *** machines. All the FC's I saw for sale were not in stock form. All had almost perfect paint and nothing was stock including body kits. FD's were going for 10,000 US. FC's were about 5-6000 US.
You gotta love the shop name "Rabitt Racing".

yea. seriously...japan is $$$$ and the conversion on your credit card stinks!! we went to TAS '00 and spent $1600 U.S. in a...uhhhhhh...."club" in one night

-As far as the skyline goes i don't care if it rivals the R34 or not, straight six turbo's were the skyline's flagship for the past decade - and I always felt at LEAST the RB26 was a small homage to the days of the original L series motors from the early Z's. Supposedly the V8 is lighter than the inline 6 but i bet it's mostly from the lack of two hefty turbo's and intercoolers hehe no boost, no fun!! the 350Z really should have been an NA version of the RB26 but i can understand them not wanted to develop all new parts - it was easier to use the V-setup and spread it across a few cars. But really, the skyline should have an inline motor!!!!! *off topic, but hey what can u do*

I'm not sure if you guys know this but, if you can find someone that is in the military they station people over there all the time. The most anyone ever spend on one contract is 3 years. But the shorter periods of time are like one year to six months. Find someone going over there and have him snag your parts. Then have the gov't foot the bill for shipping it here.

Is that the GP sports front end, or is it the Wise Sports? Or maybe even its neither? If its the GP front, it looks a bit bulky from the front end...

http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/52879863

That red car sure does look like the GP kit. Looks much better there (assuming the other pic is GP too)

Anyone have any input????
