FC3S vs MKIII
Ok, a buddy of mine has a 1991 Supra turbo w/ HKS exhaust, HKS intake, and HKS boost controller. I should know....I do all the work on his car. My question is...will I beat him? I still haven't driven my Rx due to some electrical stuff and few minor things...but when I do get to drive it..he wants to run me. I have exhaust, intake, ignition, jspec motor & tranny, DF clutch, etc etc...I am a 5spd as well...and he is an automatic...who should win? lol....(BTW, I'm posting this thread so he'll have something to read when he comes into work this afternoon, lol)

hmm
you should pull on him pretty bad actually, if by exhaust you mean a full exhaust, and with you having the front mount, Of course is does depend on how much he has his boost cranked up to, But I have a friend with a 91 supra turbo, stock vs stock, I beat him by about 1 car up to 120, He got intake and gutted both cats, I have intake/midpipe, I waxed him by 2 1/2 cars up to 120. So just basing it on that, if your mod/per mod is even, you should always edge out. I think with that old of car being an automatic, you might have a little advantage there also.
However, those cars can be wicked fast, I saw one at the track w/stock turbo running 13psi, with fmic/full exhuast intake/ignition/clutch/boost controller and he was barley able to put down a 13.9, but it was because he was a crappy driver/bad tires, even though his supra was peeling out through first and second and the guy couldnt shift to save his life, his traps were still 106-108 meaning he could easily his 13.0 or lower with good tires.

You've got like 200-400lbs less weight thatn he does...
Most mildly modded FC turbos should be able to beat a MkIII Supra turbo no problem.
The key to the MkIII is the stock CT-26 turbo - it's too small!
