My main question or concern is how are these engines stored?? Even if you buy a 91 it is at least 10 years old. How can you be sure the engines have been stored properly and that the seals are not all dried up??

 

They are not all 10+ years old. Not all of them at least. The cars that they came out of are 10+ years old. In Japan, when the motors hit a certain mileage they replace the motor. Not with another used one, but with a new one.

The buyer of these motors initially has them prepped. That means that after they are comp checked, they are cleaned out and treated so that they can be stored for some time and not suffer any ill effects. This is how he can offer the warranty that he does. That is the same warranty that I pass on to my buyers.

What do you mean IF you decide to keep it?!?! You have to keep the vert! When it comes time for me to need a new motor, I will be going J-Spec and making the car totally into a stock TII vert. Smog and all

 

Thanks for the reply, that does clear things up. I heard over in Japan that they have to get rid of a car after a certian amount of miles. I was thinking it was the whole car, I guess it never thought about that all they had to do was replace the engine.
