I realize I'm a bit late to the party but having just gutted an FD last Saturday, thought I'd chime in.
I have no idea how difficult it might be to swap the FD interior into a FC but it wouldn't matter even if it bolted right in, I'd never use it.
The FD has the flimsiest, most fragile interior pieces I've ever seen in a car.
I assume that Mazda justifies it for the weight savings but just look at it funny and the FD interior starts to crack.

Especially vulnerable are the high contact areas of the console and door panels...check out the 3rd gen classifieds to see how competitive the bidding gets on these pieces...every FD needs 'em.

You might enjoy the different styling of the FD parts but you'd be hating life soon after the swap as the interior crumbled to pieces around you.

ya know, im sure there are other cars you can find at the wrecking yard that have dashes that look just as nice that won't cost you an arm and a leg for the interior from that are made from something a little more stout than graham crackers as a base.

but you know, some people are just dumb.

i mean you are already going through hell to make everything fit so what the hell is the difference.

I would love to see the Supra Mark 4 (1993-1998) dash in a FC. That is the most sexy dash I've ever seen.

Doable? Yes.
Worth it? Yes
A good choice of upgrade? No.

Like a double bubble roof? Swoopy, curvaceous lines?

I can appreciate people wanting to tinker with their cars and make them better, but let's face it - the FC is an 80s car. No amount of styling will ever change that.
