FC3S 87, 13B N/A. Header Question

Well, I'm replacing my headers and I cant make up my mind.
I'm debating over the stainless steel or ceramic coated headers by PaceSetter.
Its within my price range. I already have the rest of the exhaust set.
I know their not the best, but I didn't have enough for the RacingBeat set.
I live in FL so no emisions testing.

I was wondering if anyone had tryed the ceramics and had anything good to say.
They sound like a good buy; and if anyone knows where I could get them for less than $247.00 I'd appreciate it. Summit has that price. (Although they dont cater to RE's worth crap)

Anyways, please post if you know anything.

Thanks in advance, RX7TOKYO.
(I'm not Japanese if you were wondering. The theme of my car will be a Tokyo Police Cruiser when I'm done with it, so. yah. thats why the name.)

what are your plans with your car? for street use go with the ceramic coated and for "offroad" use use the SS headers. For 247, those better be some damn good headers with a nice warranty. I make my own.

pacesetter headers often do not sound very well and tend to be very loud, you may wish to reconsider your choice.

But if you are convinced that you are going that route, then ceramic would be the only choice.

Is it me and my bad eyesight or is the pacesetter an unequal length header? In every pic I've seen they look it. If they are unequal then that would explain the loudness...

I'll stick with the obviously equal length RB thank you. ~rich

Racing Beat is better. I had a Pacesetter on my old 12A FB and I had a tingy sound at idle. It was like ting ting ting ting and it was really loud. When you got on it, it sounded almost Honda. Horrible.

Just so you know its "header".

Pacesetter quality has been something of much debate. They do their job yes, but sometimes have fitment issues (at least predominant in alot of their other cars) and the quality is suspect.

But what I do know is that they do the job, but sound funky. So pretty much it'll hold you over yes, but will be loud and you MAY have to do some slight work to make them fit.

RB header's are good build quality and look nice. But people like Kahren and SDJ (who claim) are doing alot better for HP ratings.

I say for the person to keep the stock manifold until they can purchase a worthwhile system.

Wow.

Looks like you guys REALY like the RB set.
They looked great to me too, but one problem...
Dont the RB headers have a rectangular end?
I'm taking out the two pre-cats anyways, but I dont know it I can fabricate
a 2:1 pipe. ****, I should'a waited to buy this.
The RB header is a 1:1 "true duel" pipe. The PS system I have already is a 1:2.
I didn't know at the time that I should have gotten a "true duel" system instead.

Anyone know if Summit Racing would accept a return after about 5 months.
OK, Crap. I'm gonna try to get the whole RB kit. Thank God for tax returns.
If anyone can sway me, please do; or at least give me a little more advice.
Why do I still have to be a NOOB!?!?

Anyways, thanks everyone.
