Wow Man really nice work! I took at a autocad class 2 years back when I was a softmore (10th grade) and my teacher was making stuff like 3 d houses and cars. It was crazy. I've seen a Saleen S7 modeled in Autocad.... I really like your work though. It's incredible!Keep it up!

Here are some renders at different angles as well...
Hope I made what you're talking about right.

Actually I was looking at the model, and at some points it looks like it's too far out, now what I did was I put it back 1m, and then saw how it looked, and I personally think for the majority it looks better, now I realize that in some places I will have to drag it out more to match (over the wheel wells) but I beleive that 1m looks better than 2m...
Here is each one, 1m, and then 2m respectively...
Tell me which you like better, I beleive 1m looks smoother all around while still giving the effect of the shoulder lip line.

IMO, some stuff is just too hard to undertand when its like /\THAT. Like the hatch glass, it's straight, ut you tried to put a rear wiper in there, which will look ok, but it's better withought it. also, some other things simmilar dont show up right withought the "Body lines" on there. Maybe add windows/door/ bumper lines?

I'm trying to fix what people show me while I'm working on the doors and the rest of the body lines, I beleive the body lines are almost right, and now all I have left is to do detailing once the body work is done...

There's some pics for reference... but overall I think you made it too flat.It has a bit of arch to it... I dunno.. perhaps if you threw up a full rendering in an actual color, maybe it would be easier to tell.

I think it would be better if you removed the spoiler. I haven't ever seen a 7 in real life that had a spoiler like that...I know that there are aftermarket kits like that.
I am wondering if it would be possible to import this into fluent or some other cfd program...it could make for a nice little tool to help design effective aero parts.

I second the spoiler removal... would be best to model this car in its most bare element. And then create objects for the spoiler, front GTUs lip, different body kits, exhaust, tires, etc. Maybe even the rear hatch. I know the hood is already a separate object, so it can be N/A or Turbo.
Would be SWEET to render this in flash and make an interactive car designer. Be able to spin it around in 3D, add options, change the color, background, etc... Stupid idea?

Sounds like a good idea, but flash is 2D so it would't work. Maybe someone could write up some java code?
If it really caught on, manufacturers could release files for the java code so that you could "install" it on your car and see how it looks.

Not all flash is 2D... You can import 3D models into flash.... I'm pretty sure.. I have a friend that does all of my flash for my web clients, I'll give her a shout and see whats shakin...
Maybe I'm thinking of shockwave.

you can import movies and sequences into flash. If it was a 3d model at one point, once converted to movie, it is technically 2d. So in short, you can import pre-rendered 3d, but not the actual models.
that would be some pretty tricky scripting to be able to have the car on a turntable, and be able to switch mods.
