I need help, and reference pictures! Any and ALL help is wanted.

Here is a link to my FD thread:

I have the front end sheet metal, Radiator etc modeled in Pro-e.
Its some what rough, just to get an idea on IC pipe routing and turbo inlet pipe.

You could assemble it into your model for more detail.

Anyone have an engine modeled?

i use Maya. Nice job with the box modeling technique. I've been albe to get some decent results with cars usign box modeling, but all the car modelers I know use nurbs. its easier to get the lines and curves if the car, with less geometry. does c4d support curve modeling?

Looks great so far. You are making me what to model one now!! Maybe we can turn this into a modeling thread! LOL

I have lots of ref pics, give me your email addy and I'll send over some high res photos

I don't have Pro-E, I use Cinema 4D, if you can get the parts into .3ds or .obj I can use them, but other than that it's pretty much useless....

And to answer your semi-questions Styl, yes I am using NURBs, and box modeling as you can tell...And thanks for the offer for the high-res pics.

Alright...got a lot more work on the FC done, I'm actually happy with how it looks so far, hopefully the final model will turn out good...

There is it with the NURB object on, now below is with it off...

Much better being NURB'ed huh?

Anywhere here are some editor renders as well...

And the right view, showing how I am slowly moving the points in conjunction with the blueprints I aquired, (not sure how accurate, because the closest I've been to an FC is it pullng up to my car, and me punching it and leaving it behind me lol) But...the FC is my dream car even if it comes stock a little underpowered than my current one.

I'm glad you love it....and maybe I will make that, if I get a paid offer. :p Haha...I'm doing the FC because it's my dream car and I'm completely in love with the engineering principle of the rotary engine.

Or...I'll accept payment by someone sending me an FC to my driveway :-D lol jk

I'd pay 5 bucks to get a software model of this car. Anybody else? Maybe we can make this guy some money.

You have paypal?

I need to get paypal, but I may post a link to it here when I do get one...in fact I may go get one right now...

Well, if you do.. you get 5 dollars from me. And I'm talking model when done.. not as is... I'd like to see two versions when complete. Turbo and N/A... One with hood scoop and one without.. But that should be easy enough.

Would be awesome to be able to give your car a paint job at will. Try different types of wheels, tires, spoilers, etc.

Did you take a look at the FD I've done? If not go back to my first post in this thread, and look at the link I put, that is a much higher quality done model than my FC is so far.

Hope you like.

Oh, and I got my paypal basically set up, but I need to get home so I can enter in the extra bank account information, I will let you know when it is all set up.

Added the scoop with knife edges, and moved the points to match...as you can see below...

Also added a lot more definition to the hood, and moved the points to match the top blueprints I have...

Blueprint angle...

Should work on the recess between the hood and the windshield.. and the separation of the body panels. That would really bring it to shape.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to be doing that here soon...the thing with box modeling is that you don't want to detail too heavily too early...

Anyway, I decided to try a test job on the hood scoop, and was going to just delete it afterwards...but it turned out too good and I'm going to keep it now...
