Any pics? What did you end up doing for spacers? Like I said, considering I already have the FD wheels, I'd still consider this a short term option if it didn't cost me hundreds of $$ to do it...

Not sure on the offset. Whatever the stock offset is for mustangs with 17x8 wheels. +35mm, I think, but not quite sure.

225 is definitely the widest you can go up front, unless you have wider fenders. I went with 225/45's, instead of 40's, because they were cheaper, and close enough to original tire diameter. 245/45's in the rear will definitely cause your speedo to read too slow. I used 235/45's out back, because I had a spare pair (fronts from some Porsche rims I had), and they looked good. I also have some 255/40's, but they are NOT designed to fit on a 17x8 rim. Nor are 17x7's the best for 235/45's. Ask me how I know...

With the wider fenders, though, you need less of a positive offset, not only to fit the wider tires, but also to fill the fenders better. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Mariah Mode 6 allows use of 10 inch wide fronts (accomodating 265's) and 12 inch wide rears (accomodaing 335's), but you'd have to ask them about what offsets they use.

Ren

How much clearance did you have on the inside front w/ those 225s? I didn't think the outside of the wheel would be the problem -- I was more concerned about the inside. If I could get everything to fit on the inside, I wouldn't worry about the outside since I'm going wider fenders... This is what I hate about buying tires/wheels. You never really know how it's going to look/fit until you've spent the money and they're on the car... *sigh*
