I'm pretty sure N/A axels won't like "11.40 ET's" and "461 rwhp".

Why do you need more axels? Doesn't anyone make chromoly T2 axels?
Conventional logic says, if you need to replace a part because you break it, doing so with a weaker part would only increase the frequency of replacement

But assuming we overlook that... the halfshafts are one piece to the best of my knowledge so you would have to use the N/a halfshaft which I believe is a different length/diameter and thus would not work w/ the T2 diff. If you wanted to cut the flanges off the shaft and weld up the n/a flange (terrible idea) that might "work" .

Mazda trix has an interchange chart http://mazdatrix.com/g5.htm and specs on the halfshafts.... http://mazdatrix.com/G8DiffMnt.HTM

Short answer....NO.

Upgrading an axle shaft wont help me when i break the cup by the mounting flange. I havent found an upgraded complete axle after searching for a couple of hours, on the ones i did find all they upgraded was the shaft. i really dont want to throw a rebuilt one on. i just got a new axle here locally (that was supposed to be for a t2 and it wasnt, it was for an na) and compared them. the shaft sizes were the same, but the bolt holes on the flange on the non turbo were just a bit too small & even if i drilled the holes out bigger (which i wouldnt) the notch on the back of the flange isnt the right size to center it on the diff side flange.

I was thinking of a possiblility of swapping the flange on the diff side to a non turbo for two reasons. one, easier to find axles. two, axles appear as strong as the t2 ones, but i figured the flange wouldnt fit the lsd diff as its different. Im new at upgrading drivetrain on these cars and am just throwing things out there. How else am i supposed to learn if i dont experiment or ask questions.

Also this wasnt my 461 hp setup. I had my autocross setup with a t04e at 15psi (prob 280-300hp). Here is a pic of the broken cup... and no, i didnt wheel hop or sidestep my clutch, i slip it off the line.

hmm....that is some interesting breakage. Can't say I've ever seen that before.

Seems like you could find a way to reinforce the cup w/o throwing the balance off too much

Being a 22 year old axle didn't help either lol. That's why i don't want to get a reman or used but i may have to so i can at least drive it back and forth to work for now.
