FC seat rails.... (jdm vs usdm)

My first rx7 was LHD, seats moved all the way back. (didn't have back seats)

My JDM 7 has backseats and the seat (don't know if its backseats or the jdm thing) but it doesn't move as far back, infact, its so far up front that I just BARELY fit under the steering wheel.

Its annoying and uncomfortable as I usually like a straight back posture but to keep myself from driving granny style I have it reclined quite a bit (honda civic ricer style )

Anyone know if I just get north american seat rails that i'll be able to move my seat all the way back? or is it the actual seat cross members for JDM models that make the seat sit 3-5 inches closer.

I don't have any other FCs to compare with right now : /

One of my solutions was to get a 330mm steering wheel b/c i found the stock one too damn big to have the tilt at max low.

My second solution is to hard mount my bucket to the floor without sliders if my slim mounts do not work out.

I'm not sure if the rails differ but if it's clearance you want in these tiny *** cars you're going to have to go aftermarket or get crazy with some metal work...

im almost willing to bet that because the car had a backseat they put a limiter on the seat rails so you could not slide that far back.

I bet if you take them apart there might literally be a bolt that prevents you from sliding back further.

I'm hoping thats all it is.

A smaller steering wheel won't solve my problem, i'm just too close to the wheel :P I want to be further back!

I'll check the seat rails when i have time to pull the seats out.

I have a usdm '86 and bought the back seat for it (for my young daughter until she grows up,lol) and my seats right now slide all the way back and hit the back seat if I need it to. mind you, my old drivers side rail was rusted a lot and would not go that far back so I bought another used rail in good condition. take it out and see if rust or a bolt is the problem. if not then buy a usdm rail I guess.
