I am looking to get led bulbs for the license plate lights, side markers, blinkers, third brake lights, and tails anyone know what ones I need….

I've been buying LED builbs from https://www.superbrightleds.com/ for years. Havent had one gone out yet. I replaced all my signal markers, reverse light, stop light, license plate, and some interior lights with their bulbs. For what bulbs size they are just check the 2nd Gen Faqs, its in the specification section.

 

Has anyone tried an LED for their instrument gauge cluster? I read somewhere that the LED is too concentrated and does not diffuse the light evenly, thus leaving most of the cluster very dim.
If you have tried it and the light is much better, please let us know and which LEDs you used. I would love to have a bit brighter instrument cluster. All of the lights, for that matter. I have removed and reinstalled an LED into the dome light, and would like to eventually replace those lights at the bottom of the doors, license plate, and trunk.

The bulb list is in the FAQ area of the forum. I used Sylvania for everything, (Brake, side marker, third brake, plate lights, map lights, rear cargo lights and my headlamps are GE LED. Misc interior bulbs as well are all LED now except my storage bins and my glove box have yet to be changed over.

I am NOT using LED for turn signals. Yet..

 

But have you changed out your old cluster bulb for an LED?

 

not yet. I like the dimmer incandescent look in the cluster and I feel it will get washed out with LED installed. Just personal opinion

I've also been buying all of my led lighting from suprebrightleds.com for quite some time and have been more than happy with their products and shipping times. They're my go to for buying my led bulbs. I don't buy any kit, I just buy the bulbs I need.

 

You will need to desolder one of the resists on the CPU (Kick Panel on the driverside) so you can avoid hyperflashing. Super easy to do. There's a write up on the forum.
