I won't have one prior to Rotary Fest. Just not enough time left before the event. But I'll have one shortly there after.

Ok, my angry moment is over now. So what do you guys think?
A little hard to tell from the pics and large 5one5 watermark but looks like a decent fit.The vent is a little small. Can you cut back the vent like Darknight posted in the photoshop pic(without seeing the underside ribing,it's a guess)?
Anyways my vote goes for more of a cutback main vent, like the panspeed hood.

If you want to modify your hood once you get it then go for it. But we have tested and proven that the shape and size of our vent works incredibly well. The point with this hood was to be different from the Panspeed hood. But thank you for the compliments, we do pride ourselves in very high quality craftsmanship and fitment of all our products.

Great looking hood. I'll definitely consider buying this hood when I convert to a v-mount setup. But for now, I'm gonna stay with the FMIC setup and regular hood.

Function before looks.
Functional parts can't be called rice.

Yes like SmogSUX said functionality before looks. I have an NA and want to get this hood. That small vent won't do much for me but I don't mind.

gxlbiscuit, sorry that you don't like the look of our hood. But if you don't like it then don't buy it.

Nick, Alex, and p4nc7... Thank you for the kind words.

|)arkspeed 7, got your deposit and you are #1 on the waiting list.

Maczpayne, you can use this hood with a FMIC and still reap the rewards of lower underhood temps. But if you do want to wait then we'll be looking forward to hearing from you when you're ready.

And yes, as soon as I have profile pictures I will be sure to post them up in this thread. This time the 5one5 watermark won't be right over the vent.

For sure man, But currently my budget is more towards finishing my engine install and getting everything to work correctly. But if I have funds left over, I'll drop a line.

Sorry but I think you started it. It is obvious that you dont understand how the word "rice" can be an insult when describing something that a person had poured themselves into like this hood. Secondly the word "random" makes you come across as ignorant. The placement of that vent is to pull heat away from the turbo. I guess I cant expect an NA guy to grasp that. Although I have no idea what an NA guy would want with a vented hood, if you ask me THAT is the definition of RICE.

Uh, N/As have heat under the hood as well, no? Its just as functional for an N/A as it is a turbo. They'd just have different applications. Why do some of you turbo guys look down on us like that?

I dont look down on NA guys I look down on someone that would be rude and then bitch that they get it back. Yes NA's have heat, not as much as turbos, and I would say that if an NA guy wants to put this hood on, that is great for 5one5 but to put on a part that is not designed for your application just for the look IS rice. Of course there are a few guys running NA's that could benefit from this hood but I doubt he is one of them.

Ok guys, let's not get a flame war started.

GXLbiscuit, I didn't mean to come off as rude. But yes, calling the vent on our hood ricey when it was designed for function and not fashion is like a slap in the face. But I do apologize if I came across as rude.

And N/A guys will benefit from this hood just like a V-mount IC setup guy will. Lower underhood temps are a good thing regardless if it's N/A or forced induction.

I wasn't attacking/flaming you or anything, and I'm still not, but nowhere in the introduction of this hood did BoostedRex say this was built with Turbos only in mind. Because it does have a vent positioned where a v-mount would be setup, its is purely "ideal." For instance, my hood is partially damaged, steel, and has no place for air to enter or escape. If I were to get this hood for my N/A, I would be replacing a heavy hood for something lighter and allows better airflow through the engine bay and isn't bent. In that sense, this hood would also be "ideal" for me (and the fact I'm getting all the little things on the car setup for a more powerful motor later this year anyway.)

I think gxlbiscuit might have meant that to people who know nothing about the car and don't know theres a turbo right under there they will think the vent is in a random location thus being ricey to them, and it would be the same if it were a panspeed hood.

I say this because looking at gxlbiscuit's profile he's running a BNR stage 3 turbo. So I hope he doesn't think a vent over his own turbo is random....

The vented hood will be beneficial to the NA guys as well. Lower operating temps are better turbo or not.

This hood would be a GREAT idea for anyone with a heavy *** steel hood.
