FC ? please help

hi,
Im fairly knowledgable about rotaries and i am currently looking at one to buy. The 87 tII i was looking at had an aftermarket air filter. i looked in the vicinity of the MAF and noticed a sensor of some sort with a screw recessed in it for adjustment. it was a cylindrical shaped sensor or switch with three wires coming out of it going to a wiring harness. it was located by the MAf and and the shock tower. could someone enlighten me as to what that is? thanks!

sincerely,
sean m

Umm, relocated AFM?
Was it plugged in to the stock harness, or another one? Also, did it have any extra electronics, (piggyback, gauges)?

I beleive he's referring to the idle air mixture screw on S4 cars. I know they are on the N/A's but hopefully a turbo guy could confirm this.
