fc parts pricing question

im not sure if im in the right section for this question so feel free to tow me.

i have been shopping for a new exhaust for my t2. i noticed that the 3rd gen parts (a lot of them anyway) are cheaper than 2nd gen. is there a reason for this? just for curiosity. thanks

the cat-back section of exhaust for an FD is physically smaller than an FC. less piping/less material, so...it only makes sense for it to cost less.

if you are wanting to make an aftermarket exhaust its cheaper, you can get high flow cats for cheap and you can get piping for cheap just find a guy who can weld and bend pipe and have him do it up for you, did mine that away only cost me 90 bucks for piping and cat, bought the muffler off of a guy its only a temp but it works real well

ya but you can get a named branded one for god only knows how much, way you have to look at it is how is an exhaust made? pipe= certain diameter sized such as 3 inches with some bends in it, cat and a muffler so you could have one made for cheaper
