Real quick, acetone has mixed results in various tests because of there are different kinds of stuff in different gasolines (ie: varies from pump to pump). From my understanding, it has to do with the amount of ethanol/methanol/alcohol (one of those, lol) that's in the fuel, and that you want as little as possible of whatever I'm thinking of (again, one of those three) because it ends up changing the combustion temperature.

Like a couple people have said, fix your OMP and clean your injectors. If you really want to go 2-stroke, I'd say do the OMP->2-stroke injection conversion. Pre-mixing will always give you a higher ratio of oil to gas because you have to pre-mix for the *worst* possible scenario (ie: WOT). Personally, I plan on doing the 2-stroke conversion after my rebuild because I would feel better using oil in the motor that's *intended* to be burned in the combustion cycle.

With that said, I don't think Mazda designed a poor system w/the OMP. As said, the mechanical pump is almost bullet-proof, and worked great on my 7 even though I believed it was leaking horribly). The only true reason I'm switching to 2-stroke injection is because I like the idea of injecting oil that's meant to be burnt and I want to do something different (yes, it's been done, but it's still "different" in my opinion).

My omp **** on me, causing my first engine to blow. You think I'm ever going to trust the omp again? So I started premixing my engine after I rebuilt it. NO my plugs have never fouled from it, and YES I have gotten just about the same gas mileage. I use any tcw3 oil. Why? Because it is safe to use with fuel injectors, i.e. it wont clog them. I have no idea if mmo is safe or not. Who knows, its amazing stuff, I just wanted to be sure. So basically, I premix so I know my engine is getting oil in the combustion chamber, thats it. If there are adde benefits to it, great but thats not the reason why I'm doing it.

my omp is good as ever i just stay on top of my Maintenance's if i find any thing suspicious at least i have an early warning to check it or fix it, but i dont think you can say you cant trust the omp, anything mechanical has wear and tear like classicuto said what can you do to prevent anything from wearing and tearing??

i have to agree with you on that one...i would imagine mazda having any consideration about the fact that these engine were to be runned for many years, so they had to make the OMP as you said bullet proof...

here is my .02

if you have a working omp I would recomend to use no more then 1oz per 2 gallons of gas of TCW3 2 stroke oil..

If you have a non working or removed omp use 1oz per gallon of 2 stroke oil

I dont know anything about mmo

as for the revving I say it is not needed.
