Jesus christ man, you're going to spend more money converting your car to JDM than you would pay for a ******* bodykit, dumb Idea........ Sort your mind out and come to normal senses. Leave your car left hand drive, and just make it your own by doing your own stuff to it and piecing things together. Or you can just go to canada and buy a canadian FC.

Hey guys I want to do a GXL conversion!!

It will be my special way for me to make it "my own"

Its the same bull ****. Making a car your own has nothing to do with conversions. It has to do with special combinations of personal touches.

the JDM infini IV is already being done. My friend is crazy. Took a GTUs, dropped a TII motor, spend months finding rare Infini parts, etc...

He's up to somewhere around $13,000. And he's not done yet. Be prepared to pay a lot for a STOCK 'JDM' lookalike car.

There is no JDM "look" for FC's. They all look the same!

The only really noticable difference is the wheels, and trust me when I tell you the US models got the better deal there...

I'm in the process of doing an Infini repli-car. Good luck. It's a long and complicated process and it takes TONS of time AND money. And when I'm done, very few will be able to tell it apart from an ordinary FC. If you want to make it "look" like an infini, just grab a set of vert wheels and slap a savannah logo and the lazy 8 on the back, bam, you're done. That's what an infini looks like. The interior and other pieces are next to impossible to obtain unless you have contacts in japan(trust me, I've been doing this project for over a year now) and they are very expensive to ship. I can count on one hand the number of cosmetic differences between the Jspec and Aspec FCs, so your project is pretty much already done. I don't wanna discourage you, but there just aren't enough parts for it to be "unique" unless you wanna go RHD, which is even MORE expensive than my LHD infini project.

The infini III came in "Shade Green" and the infini IV came in both "Shade Green" and "Brilliant Black." The Infini I and II came in white and black(?) I believe.

the only 'jdm' thing i have on my car is the rear wing, which came off of a late model GT-X It has ABS injected plastic construction and had larger reinforced support pillars. It also extends out slightly farther than the S5 Turbo wings i compared it to.

It's not something anyone except for me and only the most discriminating rotorheads would notice.

I received the wing for free, but I would imagine you would have to pay a lot for items like that.

If you're willing to pay that much for minor 'jdm' touches and dont care that your car is will be indistinguishable from others, then more power to ya!

There are a few exterior differences between the JDM & US spec RX7s. The Euro spec RX7s have also some exterior changes than the JDM & US RX7s. The front signal lights are different, the side signal lights are different and the rear taillights are different. Also none of them even the S5s have auto sealt belts. The side mirrors are also different. The euro spec do not have the rear licence plates lights on the side of the taillights but on the bumper.

Jspec FC3S models (except the Infini and of course the FC3C) all had rear seats, as well as it was an option for A spec GXL models and GX/Luxury/SE/ S5 GTU models).

They are bolt in, interchangable with the storage bin units.

alright since this post has been drug back up i will go ahead and explain..... i like to streetrace, and wheels bodykits and the like make it harder to sucker people in so subtle mods are all i can do . its the same reason i have an arc top mount rather than a frnt mount..... jdm is differnt but still stock enough to not arise the suspicions of potential racers, keep me off the the radar of unsavory people who would like to break into it, and not draw the attention of johnny law.... my last car had a body klit rims yada yaad and was broken into 3 times in a year , pulled over for anything and everything. i want a car thats not stock, but not the attn. magnet that i had

You just admitted to being a street racer, welcome to being looked down on and hated by half this forum who feel it is people like you that give the '7 a bad name .

--Fritz

PS. I wasn't saying me personally in clarification of my reply, but trust me it isn't hailed with any sort of praise here for the most part to be a street racer, or 2fast and 2furious .
