FC hood dampers for T2 aluminum hood

This afternoon my eBay hood dampers just arrived in the mail from Taiwan just wanted to get an idea any other members have ordered directly from this company with any personal impressions? The design looks very simple and straightforward, there is no bracket just appears to bolt up to the factory hood hinge. These are specifically made for the aluminum hood. Shipping came directly from Taiwan but surprised the heck out of me when they arrived in less than a week. I'll try to install them later this afternoon.

Just finished installing the hood shocks, took roughly 5 minutes to install, extremely easy with no modifications required. I'm sure these pictures will give you a good idea how simple and easy a design these shocks are. Hood operation is nice and smooth, I left the hood open for a couple of hours with no sagging and while closing the T2 Aluminum hood was nice and smooth with very little resistance. I'm vey satisfied with the product!

Reverse?

Can those be reversed? Strut up, gas cylinder down.

so its basically a ball stud and the struts- good alternative to the custom bracket others sell

the struts will probably rust pretty quick but you could always get stainless versions

not in california, i made a set for my FC about 5 years back and they never went south until recently where they are just starting to get soft and lose pressure from the engine bay heat that has obviously cut their life down some.

Just like RE mentioned here in so cal weather isn't really a problem haha. I'm really happy with the the simple design and finding replacement shocks shouldn't be very difficult.

I checked EBay, and the best price I found was $55 plus $10 shipping.

I Googled and found the same Sokai Tech product can be purchased directly for $49.99 shipped.
