FC Engine problems?

I like the FCs and FDs a lot... But I'm pretty n00bish to the whole car scene in general ~_^

I've heard something about FCs having some kind of engine problem (other than this rebuild that was needed... what..... every 50,000 miles?)..... What would this be? Curious... Because I like FDs the most.. But also think the FCs look real nice.

Look at the FAQs above. FC motors can last up to 200,000 miles.

Read over the FAQ at the top of the forum. There are tons of horror stories about rotary engines having problems and needing to be rebuilt constantly, but for the most part that isnt true. My '86 Rx-7 has 123k miles and still runs strong with great compression. My friend bought an '85 that was running strong until it blew a coolant seal at ~220k miles. There are a few people with close to 300k on their rx-7, original engine. Now the turbo engines are subject to more heat and stress, so they ususally dont last quite as long, but there are many people approaching ~150k miles on the original engine as well. Routine maintenance is much more important on a Rx-7 than most other cars. Frequent oil changes, as well as making sure all of the engine management equipment is working properly is a must. FCs suffer from small electrical gremlens, but are more an annoyance than an actual problem. They are great cars, but you will definately need to be able to work and troubleshoot your own car when you get one, because most mechanics and garages will not know what they are doing when it comes to an Rx-7.

Perhaps I was thinking of something else? I dunno, and the parenthesis is something I added in in the last ...... second.... before posting it heh. I was thinking, "Wait..... That is low..... That can't be it...." Or something to that effect, but decided to go ahead, heh.
