FC Door/Window Problem

Ok, my 1989 convertible door is not opening from the outside, and the window does not go up. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Does not go up or go down?

My guess, agreeing with above, is the arm on the inside that push's the rod down to release the door latch broke. If it completely broke off, it could have fallen across the inner body of the door to under the window blocking it from going down.

Or, could be a coincidence and the window regulator broke about the same time. Vert regulators aren't as durable as the coup window regulators.

To confirm, as said above, you need to remove the door panel and peal back the plastic sheet to take a good look. Try and not tear the plastic sheet as it does serve a moisture sealing purpose.
