FC Color...VOICE OPINIONS
FC Color...VOICE OPINIONS
well I have my car all the body work is done and i painted the door jambs, hatch jambs and around the sunroof and tailights, the car is painted house of kolors Kandy Tangerine....the car is a T2, i need a new front bumper and im wondering what body kit or stock body with side skirts and just a front lip or what...AND what color i should paint it, what does everyone think...
I own a couple of black cars, and a black FC is nice, but I gotta say, in pics and real life, NOTHING beats a white FC with all the moldings painted.
Next to that is the harbor blue metallic, found on 89-91 FC's, fairly rare. ITs between dark and light blue, with some metal added in, anda grayish tint in teh background.

i never thought the harbor blue looked as good as the brave blue mica in pictures. i like a darker blue, and absolutely love white (w/ s5 mouldings and all stuff painted bodycolor of course).
red is nice, but a huge precentage of FC's and FD's are red.

i hate my tan/gold/silver/brown color and i am going for the best color on the FC..... White, i liked black before i had my FC, but white just looks SOOOOOO damn good on these cars.

IMHO, no offense to silver carred people, but silver just seems like one step above grey primer, i have never seen an impressive silver paint job because all it is, is grey that shines. grey is the FIRST color i think of when boredom comes to mind.
not bashing your choice in color, I just dont like it

Yeah goto love that sleeper Champaigne gold. I love the color of my car and the best thing is that no idiotic cop stairs at me as my loud, sports car, with a sleeper color is on it. And when I say no cops I mean NO cops. However, now I am with out it

Yo,
I would say go with the Mazda Vivid Yellow that's on the new Protege 5 wagon. I love yellow FC's, especially since Porsche almost never made yellow 944, so people will definitely know it's an RX-7.

Metallic Gunmetal would be badass.
If I had to pick color (for almost any car) it would be Audi TT 225 Nimbus Grey
im still tryin to figure out what shade im gonna paint mine. its currently red but i dont need any more attention from cops than my loud flame spewng T2 already gets. silver is the hardest color to see in traffic so im goin with silver definatley. but i dont want bright silver, i want some medium metalic kinda silver, maybe with a little bit of pearl added in. the GM color "pewter metalic" caught my eye, but the problem with it is that it always looks so friggin dirty.
BTW...yellow looks really really really sweet. BUT ive never seen a stock bodies 87-88 FC that looks good yellow. they need at least the 89+ nose and side mouldings. and stock wheels on a yellow FC look very out of place. yellow FCs look good only when altered from stock.
