FC Body Kits?

2 questions, are there any really crazy ones out there for the FC, and how huge would the mods be to shift a kit like the Veilside Fortune kit over from FD to FC. anyone with body swap experience your comments would be greatly appreciated even if your just guessing. I'm thinking this prolly isnt something anyone would have direct experience with. THX

searched, yes.. thats standard body kits. We have decided the car will be the 08 project for the 09 HIN series.. Being that we live in hawaii I am a little stuck, it is real inconvenient for me to swing by somewhere in the mainland and have a one-off kit made. I don't want the "Good, you can copy the Tokyo Drift car" statement, so If I go with the veilside kit I will prolly try and mold it even more once it arrives. Personally every FC kit I see looks the same. Veilsides kit was on a FD in the film, but their site doesnt say if it is gen specific, still waiting on a reply. That is the level or more of kit im looking for. To give an idea that kit is 11k for the parts.. I'm not in the market for a $500 kit off ebay or some kit that came stock.. I need a real statement to compete with the damn Scion XBs and TCs that are owning more and more of the import show scene, atleast out here. The only other option is to try and build a one-off kit myself, although I have 2 years to design and build I really don't know that this would be any cheaper with my time and wasted product than buying a kit.

Well, I am a judge for the NCCA and we do all of the HIN shows, including Hawaii. (I dont get to goto that show dammit)

Anyways. the body contours are so drastically different between the FC and FD that the 11K you spend on the Forutne kit would be a waste. Take that 11K and make a complete 1 off kit. I say this because if you read our rule book, you will see that a one off item will draw more points if crafted perfectly then an ultra rare item that is customized.

A big point I want to make here is this, whatever you decide to do, wether its one off or taking a kit and doing radical customization to it, make sure the craftmanship of either is of the utmost perfection. I say this because I have taken points away from people with one off items because the workmanship was of poor quality.

Always remember, first and foremost, build the car for yourself. Second, to win, you dont have to have the most mods, but have the theme of the car portrayed throught it and ensure the craftmanship is perfect and never ever ever overlook anything when cleaning.
