having a problem with the car after i swapped an engine in it computer has power and all but coils are not firing. tested the coil its getting power and i accidentally touched the bracket on the coil and the metal bracket on both coils have 12v on the ??????? they are not mounted on the car just laying on a corner

 

You need to mount the coil to something, the metal bracket grounds the coil. That will complete the path for current.

 

got it all straight had to connect ground wires on it the paint on the car wasnt grounding it good
