aww come on, the Black 86 i used to have ran a nice 14.4 in the 1/4, home made intake, modded TB, working 6 ports, autozone plug wires, NGK 9's, removed a/c, p/s, BACV, Pace setter header, 2.5" single sided exhaust with no mufflers or cats, it got 6sec flat for 0-60 time with me and my buddy riding in it with a full tank of gas. i had not invested more than 300 dollars in that car with purchasing price and all,

Car=60$
Header=115$
Exhaust=60$
Wires=18$
Plugs=20$ for set of 4

thats 273$ that i invested in the car to get into the mid 14's

lol, ive always wanted to be a hero lol j/k

go RB true dual, the most HP gains, and if you plan to do a street port just get the RB dual outlet headers and have a local shop make your pipes to the back, it will be LOTS cheaper than getting the true dual system from RB or mazdatrix and offer the same power increase with a street port, if you dont plan on porting i would just get the whole setup from mazdatrix, its 1400$ and my buddy said he got 33.5rwhp from it on his car, he runs it in auto-x.

Agent D... ya. thats very impressive. I wold like to see pics of your car or timeslips. Or do u still have it? Anyways thier should be a website for n/a people with HOW TO DO LOW 14s IN THE QUARTER FOR UNDER A GRAN web site or somethin... That would be cool because thiers several people who have those cars and lots of people say it cant be done. All well. Youl be spankin on Type R integras with that time. Even ones with intake and exaust.

no i wrecked that car back on march 25th 2001, hit a tree doin 130mph, "note to self: dont go 130mph with bald tires on a curvy road" nah no time slips, just my 0-60 time and races with 2000 GT's, 2000 GT runs the 1/4 in ~14.3-14.5, i could stand right next to, and sometimes beat 2000 GT's, and i took a 95 camaro z28 by about a foot.

NA 1/4 Times

I have a NA with NO MODS. Can anyone tell me what the quarter would be and what other cars I can beat stock (a.k.a Civics, Preludes). It seems that no one in here has an '86, let alone an '86 with NO MODS.

BBOOOOYYYY, you better start modding that peice, or you wont be beating much of anything, seriously. Well, 86s seem to be FAST AS **** for soem reason, AgentD had a 14.4 mildly modded one, and my freinds, aslo mildly moded, runs 14.8... dont ask me why, but the 86s are fast as **** for some reason. Good luck man

ok,ok

the deal with weight reduction,the 86 had everything out--everything ran 14.4s all day .then i put the entire sytem back in.some one wrote they had a amp and a 8 sub--lol no man i have 4 tens and 2 12s in the back of this mother with three amps.i could only launch the car before at around 3000 rpm for i wouldnt spin ,with all that in the back i actaully gained to 14.19 at 96 .i launch the car at about 5800 and dump it .----------no tire spin .there is at least 300 pounds added and all it did was help.confusing ---yes----oh ya use alot of vht!!!!

Weird, but I guess it could just push the weight down in the back and give you a better launch. Anyone with time slips for these low NA times?

Some of these times seem kinda outrageous.... I mean im not totally dissagreeing but they seem a little good to be true... 14.4 in the quarter... Turbo's dont even run that stock.. some not even after modded !! Ive got a ported NA myself with some pretty decent mods, and i doubt id be in the 14's . Remember stock 86 rx7 runs something like a 16.2 or something... we are talking about a 2 second difference with almost no mods... Well.. all i have to say, is if its true, I wanna know how....
still some time slips would be nice

my 0.02 cents

P.S : I have a BIG fat street port too!! and im sure i dont see those gains.

My 86 will be on the road in the spring with a SP. There's a track about 45 minutes from me....I'll run some times. Probably won't be until May or June, but I've got to get through the break in.
