i've changed my plugs, wires, oil, belts, it's got 2 hi flow cats, and i still can't pass, my readings are 2.4 HC Grams/mile and 26.6 CO grams/mile, can any give me any hints on whats up with my car.

also the car is a 88 T2 and the car idles good, and has no real mods, except for a cone fliter

Check to make sure you're Air pump is pushing air into the cats. Nonetheless, that you're air pump is active at all. Seeing as you have 2 hi-flow cats..I'm guessing you know longer have any air being put into you're cats..you can signal that as a failure almost off the bat.

u should keep the mechanical airpump and ACV if u want to pass smog...

i don't know if my setup will work but I blocked off the ACV and switched to a GM electric airpump.

http://www.1300cc.com

both have good write-ups
i followed the Cabrio7 one though, since i wanted to follow the stock ACV operation

Air control valve going bad is a common problem, if it doesn't work properly, and you don't want to spend 400 on a new one, you got to connect a tube from the air pump directly to the cat, I think you may have said you did that but I couldn't understand what you wrote on your second post, I have a highflow main cat and there is still a little tube where the air line connects to, also do you remember the jrats or whatever its called formula, putting 1 gal. denatured alcohol in a quarter tank of 87 octane, driving slowly and filling completly up after the test,
Send your smog results to a knowledgeable rotary comapany like mazda trix they can most likely tell you what wrong with your car

I pass with just an electic airpump and 3" hi flow cat. All other emissions are removed. I'm running 6 injectors, hi press fuel pump, and after market FPR, so if I can pass with that, anyone can.
