Factory radio bracket between 86-88 to 89-91?

Factory radio bracket between 86-88 to 89-91?
Are the factory radio bracket between the 86-88 to the 89-91 interchangable? I know the hole locations are different, but can you still use the bracket or no?

not sure on that one. The double din adapter kits sold by crutchfield have spacers for the 86-88 to make it fit correctly.
I'd imaging the OEM "metal cage" around the radio might interchange. Seems like that cage had unused holes which may work with the different years & types of radios.
