It's easy to put an aux jack into the radio but even easier is just use those tapes that do the same thing.

Until you pop the cassette adapter in and the 22 year-old internal belt on the player breaks. Then you get permanent death due the the deck being stuck in the load/unload mode.

Ask me how I know.

This is what I used in my 2004 Mazda6. The 03-05 aux input does not work for non-proprietary inputs, 2006 up you can easily add an aux input to those units.

This hard wired fm modulator will let you add an input to any radio. Pretty easy install, sound is just fine.

This specific unit charges your ipod/iPhone as well. They sell one that has the input jack without an iPod jack for a few bux less.

If you can get the ipod audio output into a line level output you could splice into the wires running from the cassette head. I haven't tried it on the factory Clarion, but the idea works on other cassette players.

I have never seen a 'stock rx7' radio that looked like that. seems kinda silly to put that in instead of just getting a new head unit. If you really want an aux in then do the FM modulator, my $10 modulator worked fine for years before I put in a new head unit.

Why is it that everyone thinks everyone in CA smokes pot? Sure we have the medical marijuana law but so do 16 other states plus DC.

You should be happy about that, at least we attribute all the craziness to the pot and not to the people! j/k!

It's probably because you guys were the first (if I recall correctly) and have had the most media exposure. Also some Californians are actively fighting to make it legal instead of just medical so its in the news because of that.
