Factory Boost Gauge gives now Reading?? :(
You make sure the plug is on the boost sensor and the vacuum line is on the boost sensor.
If they are on, then you get your meter out and backprobe pin 2B on the ECU of a series four, and turn the key to ON and compare your vdc reading with the figure in the fsm or manual.
Or you can look at that figure and put something like a MittyVac on the sensor and apply pressure and watch the voltage go up, comfirming the sensor is outputing to the ECU. IF that works out, then you NEED to ohm out the brown/red wire at the sensor plug to the Combination Meter plug that receives the boost signal. IF that is good then see if the ground for the boost gauge is there. See the free online fsm wiring diagrams for the proper pin numbers at the Combination Meter.
