Question Factory Alarm Install

I have an 87 turbo II and I went to the junk yard and got the factory alarm box and the factory light (for the center console). I know where the harness plug is at. Can I just plug in the factory box and have an operating alarm? Has anyone tried this? Would I need more parts to have a working factory alram? I just thought I would try this untill I could save the money to get an aftermarket alarm.

do you have the harnesses for everything to plug into...if so then you need the box...also the door lock need to have the lock switch...the hood switch and the additional horn in the front(3 total)...I think that's it!

I have the harnesses connector behind the glove box and I have the box which I pulled from the junk yard, but I don't have the lock switch, hood switch, or the additional horn. Unless that comes with the car even though it didn't have a factory alarm.

does your passenger door lock when you lock drivers side...if so then the lock switch is there...the hood switch is intergrated into the hood latch--look to see if there is a wire coming off the latch--if so then the hood switch is there...as for the other horn look under the car; located the other two horns---within that area should be another horn!

No, I guess I don't have any of that stuff. So would it be pretty pointless to just install the box and the light? Would some of the alarm features work and just not all of them because I don't have those additional switches and horns?
