Factory Alarm...How to disconnet?
First of all....i do actually own this car...not just stealing it. Got a 89 GTUs and everytime i open the door the damn alarm goes off??? If i pop the hatch it stops, but other than that its just a royal pain in the ***. I would like to permanantly disable it....how do i do this?? Thnx

Its on the CPU, and not the ECU. Second plug from the top IIRC. Pull the top plug, your horn should NOT work. It should be the harness directly below that.
Search, its been covered. Also, expect Icemark to drop in this thread and tell you about all the FC goodies that we are disabling by disconnecting that harness (bunch of coutesy lights/beepers IIRC), and how the proper thing to do is bloody fix it. I agree with him, but there is this bad laziness factor, its much easier to unplug the harness and lose the courtesy lights then it is to go hunting for a switch with bad contact.
Again, second from the top on the driver's kickpanel.
BTW, its series specific, this only works on S5s.
