i have a 1987 mazda rx7 with factory alarm. sometimes i'll set the alarm and when im ready to get back in the car and i open the door, the alarm doesnt go off. sometimes it works fine and goes off and i just stick the keys in the ignition to disarm like i should. other times i will open the doors and i can see the parking lights blinking, but you cant hear the alarm. i always make sure i pull the handle to activate the alarm. can anybody help?

 

igf your hood/hatch is not closed all the way it will not activate.
